PRIVACY NOTICE FOR JOB CANDIDATES 

The personal data of individuals seeking employment at UAB “Joldija” (hereinafter – the Controller) is processed by the Controller solely for the purpose of employee selection and recruitment, based on the legitimate interest of assessing the candidate’s suitability for the desired position.

The Controller obtains applicants’ personal data from third parties, e.g.: online job search portals, specialized career-oriented social networks (e.g. LinkedIn), recruitment agencies, the Lithuanian Employment Service, or directly via email from the data subject, when they respond to our job advertisement and/or provide their curriculum vitae (CV), candidate questionnaire and/or other application documents. Information about the data subject’s qualifications, professional skills, and personal qualities may also be obtained, for example, from referees, current or former employers. The Controller may collect data from a former employer after informing the candidate in advance, and from the current employer – only if the data subject provides consent.

The Controller considers the data subject’s consent to process the personal data provided in their CV, candidate questionnaire and/or other application documents for the purposes set forth in this Policy section as granted when the data subject submits their CV, candidate questionnaire and/or other documents to the Controller. Where the Controller obtains information about the data subject from third parties, it is presumed that the data subject has been informed about the processing of their data and has given consent for such processing to the respective service provider.

When conducting recruitment for open positions in the Company and evaluating your candidacy, the Controller processes the following categories of personal data:

Data categories

General information about the candidate: name, surname, email address and/or phone number, information on work experience, education, professional development, language skills, IT and driving skills, other competencies, and any other information you provide in your CV, cover letter, or other application documents.

Recommendations, employer references: name and contact details of the referee, content of the recommendation or reference.

Candidate evaluation data: interview summary, recruiter’s insights and opinions, results of practical tasks and/or tests.

Health data*

Any additional information provided at the candidate’s own discretion (e.g. date of birth, attached photograph, hobbies, etc.) not listed in the above data categories, for which responsibility for processing rests with the candidate who provides such data.

Your consent and legitimate interest.

Data retention period

For the duration of the recruitment process for a specific position(s) and after its conclusion, but no longer than 2 years after the end of the recruitment.

 

* Health data of the data subject is collected and processed during the recruitment process in accordance with applicable legal requirements, in order to assess the data subject’s ability to work, the suitability of the workplace to their health condition, and/or the ability to work under occupational risk conditions. Health data is collected only at the final stages of the recruitment process.

If, after the recruitment process, the Controller does not select the data subject’s candidacy and does not conclude an employment contract, all personal data collected for recruitment purposes will be included in the Company’s candidate database, and processed for the purposes of contacting the data subject regarding participation in recruitment for other available positions.

The data subject is free to object to the inclusion and further processing of their data in the candidate database after the recruitment process, and may at any time withdraw consent and request the removal of their data from the candidate database.

Upon expiry of the data processing and storage period set forth in this Policy or upon receipt of a data subject’s request, the personal data will be securely destroyed. A longer retention period than indicated in this Policy may be applied only if:

– there are reasonable suspicions of unlawful conduct under investigation;

– the personal data is necessary for the proper resolution of a dispute or complaint;

– other legal grounds provided by applicable law exist.

In any case, the Controller may retain the data subject’s consent and proof thereof for a longer period if necessary to defend against claims, complaints, or legal actions.
